I heard a question being asked the other day, "What will Raoul Labrador do in Congress?" The answer is simple... He will do the same thing he did in his campaign... LIE!
House Republicans are continuing the lies they used to help get them elected into office in the first place. Idaho's Raul Labrador, among many other right-wingers, used a plethora of lies backed by big business and wealthy contributors to defeat his opponent, incumbent Walt Minick.
They say that focusing on job creation and economic growth requires a review of federal taxes and regulations affecting small businesses and workers. In reality, taxes for small businesses and the wealthy are already much to low, and Americans are getting screwed because of it.
Freshman Congressman Raul Labrador agrees with the rest of the Idaho delegation on how federal regulations are affecting business in Idaho, "We're looking at over-regulation..." In reality, many of the problems facing our country have to do with too much "under-regulation." To get our country back on track we need to have MORE regulation, NOT LESS!
The biggest screwing of America is the priority Labrador and other House Teapublicans have put on repealing health care reform. His fellow Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson has already gotten to work doing just that, by co-sponsoring a repeal of the law. Apparently if you are wealthy enough to have adequate Heath Care coverage, those who don't should have to depend on "pay or die" health care. Now that the disparity of wealth between the wealthy and the poor is the greatest it has ever been, it seems that some people would rather just let the poor die off.
"The Democrats' health care bill is wrong for our country," said Simpson. "The best thing we could do is repeal the bill in its entirety and start the process over by passing smaller bills that enjoy bipartisan support." Yeah, right. What we really need is single payer health care, but what the Teapublicans want is anything where the wealthy don't have to spend a penny to help the people without health care. As I said, it seems they would rather just let the poor die off.
Take a look America. See the right wing loons you have put into office?
