The petition argues that Thomas cannot hear the case objectively.

Thomas's wife, Virginia Thomas, is a tea party critic of the legislation and has extensively lobbied against it. Virginia Thomas also heads the hard right Liberty Central.

These are also reason that Thomas SHOULD HAVE recused himself in hearing the Citizens United case. He met with the Koch brothers, and his wife is a Tea Partier (funded by the Koch brothers), and Citizens United decision was pushed by the Koch brothers.

This has shown us that when making decisions where the Koch brothers are involved, Thomas will NOT rule objectively. He is much more likely to bend to the desires of the Koch brothers.

Mr. inJustice Thomas is a boot-kissing, cream-sandwich-cookie, prostitute of the Koch Brothers' oligarchy. Considering his refusals and stonewalling, I'm guessing he'd use that petition as tinder in his fireplace before he'd seriously consider recusing himself.

Yep...and I am one of the petition signers. Got an email on this petition and signed it right off. we need to get him, Scalia and Roberts off of anything that is good for the people. It is so evident that they have been bought and paid for by the Koch Brothers that they should all be removed from the SCOTUS.

Anytime the Koch brothers are even slightly involved, you know there is dirty work going on.

Like Herman Cain, Thomas is a Koch brother, by another mother.I'm now trying to figure out, are the Kochs just Gigolos or are these many "mothers" in need of some Republican style Family Values counciling...lol

Glad to hear Affordable Care versus mandated health insurance. Health care and health insurance are not the same as insurance lobbyist have campaigned to make us think. If health care is affordable health insurance should go away.

Clarence Thomas should recuse himself from the Court all together. It has been reported that he just sits there. He does not ask any questions and his decissions are poorly written.

RFA - true. Thomas just sits there like a lump most of the time. Slate's Dahlia Lithwick once mentioned that when Thomas does speak, everybody is startled that any sound comes from that part of the bench. (He apparently has a deep Darth Vader voice in court.) Otherwise, I don't know if even the other justices would notice if a waxworks effigy were parked in his chair.

Or bend over?

A Koch Plot smells bad five miles upwind.
