Valentine's Party

This is a great way for everyone to interact and get to know one another, using a virtual party atmosphere. Feel free to chat with one another, just like in an actual party.

A couple of rules, however. No political discussions, no serious religious discussions, and lets keep this from getting X-rated please. Let's keep this light and enjoyable. Everyone's welcome!

We're all gonna get drunk really fast and often. Now you made me want to change the teevee ch to the Caucus Network FNC). I don't want to but I have no choice. I wish there was someway to mute the sound except when the word "caucus" is blared out.

I think the rules should be that everytime we hear the word "caucus", we take a shot and yell out "caucus ... every last one of us!", then slam down the shot glass! Actually, we should all make a pact that from here until election day, everytime [why do I keep making that one word?] we hear that word, we shout our motto and annoy the beejeebers our of our families. Man, my counters, all my vine stuff is messed up. I also got stuck in other room reading the same post over and over again. WTF.. I kept cycling over the same page. Who is messing with me? Come on, fess up.. It took me forever to find my way back in here. I need to catch up on so many things happening folks but I will catch up shortly.

Slapping my forehead now. Gee Wiz. Now I understand why everyone is running around from room to room saying "Caucus", then I hear all kinds of giggles and shot glasses slamming down on all the tables. The poor guy running around filling up the shot glasses has been fun to watch. Actually, that is likely how i got lost. I was watching him and his helper. Nice tight bums running everywhere.

Okay, enough talking about smart stuff, gen and mjl. Are you guys giggling everytime they say "mandate" on teevee? I thought "caucus" was bad enough, now "mandate" makes me teehee. FFR, if you ever make it to Florida, you have a free place to stay. I will take you fishing any time you want. We will take the boat out and I promise to bring you back safe. I have all the fishing gear we will need. There is a pool here. My parents have a gulf cart here and we will have a good old time. Warning, if there is music playing, I have to move some body part especially if I really like the song. You should see me driving. I look like a complete fool. Depending on my energy level, I hand dance, head dance, and if I have the energy, I even butt dance. I am bouncing around all over my seat. I have seen people laugh at me especially when I am at a stop light and I am butt bouncing, hand and arm dancing, etc. I can not promise I will not embarrass you.

FFR; Slapping my forehead again, I forgot, you are in Florida. I miss watching the night space shuttle take offs. I was always down by the lake watching. Best view and it reflected off of the water. So beautiful. I would be sitting there hooting and yelling like a crazy lady. It is best to go fishing without hubbies. Most men claim we frighten the fish. Who cares? I am there to have fun. Yep, we would have a good time. The two of us in a car moving to the music would look like our car had special hydraulics to make it bounce to the beat.

Reminds me of a story. Mom was having trouble with a baby gator taking her bait off her hook. It would not leave her alone and this went on for some time. Three of us were in a 15 ft. boat and I heard mom cuss, a small splash, little squeal, and my step father, John, yelling, "NO" all in a heart beat. Momma gator came flying off the bank and was heading toward us like a torpedo. John was rushing to get the boat started while rapidly explaining to mom that you can not give those babies gators a love tap with the end of your fishing pole. Man, she was one upset momma gator and my mother kept saying, "I did not hurt the darn thing, I just smacked its rump with the tip of my pole before it could eat for free again". That gator followed us for a long time but finally returned to its herd of babies. I keep laughing because I would of likely done the same thing. Those babies can be pests when you are fishing with live bait. I have had them even eat my bobbin when they get a little larger.

CBlue, I use to do something similar but I honestly never tried that out fit with an apron. I bet you looked to adorable. What kind of hose did you wear? Plain, triangle netting or square netting.

Aww, the days of youthful bliss. I need to find a photo of me. I put a picture up on the web of me and the girls I worked with. I was around 29 and we were out playing and found a Santa to play with. I created several web pages for a special group of individuals. I doubt I could find it anyway.

Oh you should, gen! I just recently put an old one up of me after two years of nothing. Or however long of nothing. I have this great one I like of one my Dad took of me. Wild haired because I was bending over petting a dog and he said "look up!" I like it because you can see the delight on my face. That picture is even older.

Then I have one with pill bottles, spilled pills, empty and full liquor bottles, empty food containers all around me when I'm asleep on the floor. Went to Hawaii and snorkled all day and I fell asleep in front of the television. Thank goodness they didn't have Facebook back then. I should be embarrassed about that picture, but as you can tell by most of my posts, I don't have an ounce of pride so I think the picture is pretty danged funny. I guess I can make that one my avatar!

I do not have anyone to dress up like that for. OMG BRB...... Sorry, did not mean to yell. I was not yelling at you.. Bit of a family crisis here. I realized I have not eaten today and I need to eat a few bits of food every couple of hours. I did not want to make a meal so I found some honey wheat Ritz crackers and French onion dip. I was typing and when I turned around to get another cracker and dip it, Snoop had her head in the jar. When I yelled, she pulled her head out of the jar and was covered french onion dip all over her face, wiskers,. I have never seen a cat eat that dip before. She is really angry at me now. I took a wet rag and washed her up. It is going to get to cold tonight for a bath. She is walking around snorting at me overtime she see's me. I am glad she did not get her head stuck.

I have very few photos of me when I was young. Most of what I have is on slides. The few I have are funny and I wish I would of kept my photo albums when I left Ohio. Such as life.

I am going to go to bed and try to sleep for a little bit. Night all.

Robin, Don't feel alone. I had oral surgery just before Christmas. More in January. The dentist will finish on Monday. I'm getting implants. She called yesterday to tell me that I have to eat before I get there because she needs to do a little more bone shaping. Which means no chewing for a few more days.

I will Get the implants put in on Monday which is great.

The good thing is, I've lost the 20 pounds I gained in the last 30 years. Hurray. I told Hubby he better never give me another box of chocolate.

I had a root canal sever years ago, and it wasn't bad, Robin. I had heard people say about how bad they were, but at least in my case, they were wrong. I think the way they do it now is a little different than the way they used to. Best wishes for your dentist visit!

Robin; I had one in my life. It was not bad but it did not work. Most are easy now and most work for the normal folk. I am not normal. Look what I brought you, Radio. Not a smoothie, but a great drink for your honey on Valentine's Day.

Chocolate Covered Cherry Shooter

1/2 oz kahlua
1/2 oz amaretto
1/2 oz white creme de cacao
1 drop grenadine

Fill mixing glass with ice.
Add Kahlua, amaretto and creme de cacao.
Shake.
Strain into a shot glass
Put a drop of grenadine through the center.
Enjoy!

poetry. When I write these poems, I always have music in my head to keep the beat. I also

OMG - when we were little my brothers and sisters and I used to sing this after our parents told us it was bed time.

We'd go to our rooms and somebody would start singing it and we'd all join in.

We'd start laughing so loud Mom would come to the hallway and tell us to go to sleep.

So we'd whisper sing it and again start laughing.

Mom and Dad would laugh too. Then tell us "Go to sleep"

There was always a repeat performance the next night.

I love my wife. She puts up with me and that is no easy thing. She picks up the slack where I don't see it being being needed. She takes me as I am as flawed as I am. I like to think I do the same for her but ask me for examples and see me empty-handed. I try to hold up my end of the bargain for our family and I feel like I come up shorty. I am not a zero on that scale but I don't rate a 50 either. It is not a romantic thing; we are just trying to do right for our family. Romance seems like a something of the past and something of the future; right now we are just trying to do the right thing for our family. It is important to do that if just doesn't inspire visions of cupid assaulting us.

Isn't that what real love is in the long run, display? Having each other's back, a forever constant. The strong steady rhythm of friendship ... no longer the electric touch, but now a warm touch. No longer the jangled nerves of excitement to just lay eyes on each other, but now the comfort of laying eyes on each other in lamplight. I saw it in my parents' eyes when they looked at each other. That's love. And I miss them still.
