ABC, NBC and CBS pay for their own private security details whereas, according to one security expert, Fox News's around-the-clock protection by the boys in blue costs city taxpayers at least $500,000 a year.

And so, why the extra cops at the two million square foot Newscorp building on Sixth Avenue? Is it because police commissioner Ray Kelly really only protects "white, heterosexual males?" Or maybe he's just looking out for his son?

A more likely reason is the well-documented paranoia of Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, who's had bombproof windows installed in his office and is "convinced he's been targeted by Al Qaeda for assasination."

Wow. This stuff is dynamite. I am shock disbelieve. You bring up compelling insight that is lethal against the ring wing republican terrorists.

This information should be presented to right wingers when they are bashing how tax dollars are spent on worthwhile programs.

I'm absolutely sure they would. The government of NYC must be FAUX news cult members or something...

It is great that someone is doing some heavy duty research to be able to uncover information such as this and make it public. I salute every journalist that has decided that an honest buck trumps and dishonest buck. We have to stop being bought no matter what the dire needs are. This is how the debacle we are living has taken off so well, feed everyone garbage and tell them it is prime rib. So many buy right into this. This is a great start as many are waking up and I have observed quite a few that surprised me in a delightful manner. People do want to know but many need to be spoon fed.

This was an amazing, and sad, fact to discover. I'm glad someone brought it to our attention.

I'm hoping there will be public outrage that will stop this - it isn't like News Corp is a charity case!

I doubt very many people know about this. I didn't know anything about it before reading this article. Now I'm going to keep spreading the word.

I heard it recently on (I think) Martin Bashir's show.

Interesting... You would think it would have been spread all over a lot more than it is though.
