What Would You Want If You Could Have ANYTHING From SANTA?

I thought it would be interesting to find out what people would want from Santa Claus, if Santa were real and you could ask him for anything you could possibly imagine.

Let out your inner child and be really creative!

Maybe what you would like to ask for is something you never thought about for years. Maybe it's something for the good of the world, or something extremely selfish.

Whatever it is, please tell us. We want to hear! :)

I'm still thinking about this one myself.

Me too.

I actually had though about writing an article about this but I couldn't think of what I want from Santa. Except, of course, magical powers but that's pretty much goes for everyone, right?

LOL true...

It would be easier to choose multiple things than just one, but I think just being able to choose one is more fun. You really have to think a lot more about it to come up with an answer.

Exactly. And practical things shouldn't be allowed. Also things like world peace and ending world hunger shouldn't be allowed either. We all want those things. :)

Why can't I ask for world peace? I really, really want it, Santa. Or do I need to go to a higher authority for that one?

How about this one: family reconciliation.

If you don't like that one...umm...a French Horn.

A winning lottery ticket. Then I could be selfish and giving. I would use a large portion of it to open a couple of businesses and hire a lot of people that need jobs, and I'd also give some to charity. Then I'd finally get a house instead of renting, and finally get a new car instead of one that's several years old.

I'd like this too. About 9 mil should do it. Enough to pay off all debts, retire, put my kid (and future grand-kids) through college, and have enough left over to give generously to charity and my family and friends. Please Santa baby, I've been really good.

If I could have anything I want? I would ask for safety and peace for my children. They have had many tragic circumstances over the past year, and it would be a true blessing, if life would be better for them. I'd also like to ask to see my Sweet Ms. Pepper the ferret again who I lost last month to cancer. Other than that, I want nothing, and I still feel blessed to be here.

Dear McSpocky,

I would like a two step Pacemaker/defibrillator so I can live at least ten more years, a non-toxic living environment, (I'm stuck, for various reasons, in a former drug mfg house that hasn't been cleaned of the toxic substances in walls and surfaces-you should see the oven!), and a car not ready for the crusher or likely to blow up-mine is.

Merry Christmas.

I would like world peace and love...That's what I'd say if I were in a beauty pageant. But seriously folks: 1. I want a car of my own so I don't have to share with my husband and not have to wait on him to pick me up from work, which makes me stay there an extra hour. Oh yeah, and I don't want a car note and the car insurance would be paid up for the life of the car. 2. I want a Wii exercise thingy.

But all joking aside, if I could have anything I wanted, I would like to have my mother back.

I am wishing that Nigeria gets its way...

Not to down on that one but Halliburton has too much money to just sit by and watch Nigeria do the right thing. Dick Cheney is being saved by paying 500,000,000 USD($) just to free him, a good for nothing greedy bastard who doesn't give a damn about anything but profit (he got away shooting a person, and those corporates are treated like they are above the law). I liked what Nigeria was doing and it took a lot of balls but money seems to talk and bull s h i t walks these days.

Ditto on the new body. Mine has worn out b4 its time. I'm rather irritated w/ the entire concept of "pain management" (w/ all its fed rules & regs & "controlled substances") as opposed to "pain eradication". The pain mgmt dr said if she gave out enough meds to eradicate pain it would kill ya. There needs to be a "magic pill" that won't do that & makes ppl feel "normal" again at the very least, if the new model body's an impossibility.

A time machine would be fab for a "do-over"....if you got to keep all the knowledge acquired & knew wher you were going to screw up so that it could be avoided. O to be 17 again & know then what I know now....

I certainly get feeling 20 walking around in a 66 year old body. There isn't all that I cannot do that I've always done, as I'm pretty fortunate. However, there is plenty I won't do simply because my bones won't hold up and I treasure the density I've managed to retain. All my 60 and over buddies feel the same way though so I'd ask our creator to do a bit better job building the bones joins heart and such.

My selfish wish for Santa:

I would like a couple of acres of land with rich soil a shovel and other garden tools and all the plants I could possibly grow. I would promise to share all the fruits and vegetables with others however.

I was in a pageant also, but I don't remember talking about world peace at all! What I do remember is that, although I didn't win or anything, it was loads of fun, like putting on a play or production; and my dad, who had never managed to sit through any performance of mine before, said afterward that I was the best one (MUCH better than winning!) Also the MC, who had at least tried to make it on Broadway, told me I should have won. It felt really nice to hear, though I wasn't devastated about losing. It didn't matter anyway b/c I was going to college out of state and could not have competed for the state pageant regardless. I really just did it for fun.

An old guy moved from his home and left over 30 feral cats in his back yard. They began to migrate and we have 5 of them hanging around the houses nearby. Other people feed them now and there was a call to trap and relocate. My daughter's 15-year-old cat sits on the lanai and talks to these cats. One morning I was headed out to the lanai with my coffee and two of the cats were on the lanai hanging with the "boy". The lanai is about 15 ft off the ground. Some mornings I go out and there will be tails wagging on tree limbs. I truly enjoy cats, as they are pretty self-sufficient and silly as can be.

I filmed a video yesterday of the cat saying "Hello" to the feral cats. It turned out amazingly well and he was quite articulate. When I first told my guy about this he didn't believe me but one night he was out on the lanai when the cat began his call. He's a believer now!

I'm going for the extremely selfish because I'm always dreaming about winning the lottery and donating tons of money to my favorite charities. So, just for a little variety, I'd ask Santa for a really big house right on the water in Chatham, MA (that's Cape Cod, for you non- NE'ers.) Beach front, of course.

Oh, wait! Just give me all that lottery money, Santa, and I'll buy my own darned house and give tons to charity. Yeah, multitasking. That works. :)

Appologies to those who may be offended by religious content, but this is to Dee.  Dee, I'm sure you know that salvation is by grace, not works (Ephesians 2:8-9); although faith without works is dead.  In other words, what you do does not save you- faith in Jesus' sacrifice does b/c he took the punishment for sin.  However, a person can say any words about faith they like and mean nothing at all.  It is the heart attitude that is important.  A heart attitude of faith will be reflected by works.  So IF you have true faith, it will be shown in your works.  Hopefully, that makes sense.  His decision about your eternity will be based on whether or not you accepted that Jesus paid the penalty for your sins and gave your life to him.  (Instead of trying to pay for your sins on your own)  If you truly did that, then it follows that you will do good things and help others.  It's not like people say magic words and all is well; the heart has to change.  On the other hand, it's never to late for the heart to truly change-remember the thief on the cross. This is not to force anything on you, but to offer something you can take or leave as you wish.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (New International Version, ©2010)
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

Luke 23:39-43 (New International Version, ©2010)

39 One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!"

40 But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence? 41 We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong."

42 Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.[a]"

43 Jesus answered him, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise."

Please forgive any lack of relevance.

Well, if we're going for superbly impractical here, I want 2 xtra rms. One would be a totally medieval rm in its decor. Sort of like a great hall in a castle. Suits of armor at the doors & shields & swords on the wood-paneled walls, quatrefoil accents, that sort of thing. Just b/c I heart historical stuff like that.

The other is to make up for childhood deprivation. My parents never ever never bought me a Barbie :( :( :( So I want a rm full of Barbies & all the dream houses & sportscars & fabby wardrobes. And I WILL play w/ em, dammit! I had no daughters so that I could steal the Barbies away LOL but I had fun buying them for my niece only to have my brother tell me when she was 10 that she didn't like them & to stop buying them. HOW can you not like Barbies? Oy.
