In a news release, Gusciora said, "One such benefit could be patent rights from the development of new strains and treatments for medicinal marijuana."

He added, "Students could also learn everything from pain management strategies to running a dispensary."

As a person unlucky enough to have known a person with terminal cancer, I know the benefits of medicinal marijuana. Any research that would improve the life of a person with terminal cancer or other diseases would be a big step forward. The head of the DEA should spend a few days in a cancer ward visiting terminal patients.

My stepdad died of terminal lung cancer last October. :(

I had a very close friend who died of kidney failure last year too. He was able to use medicinal marijuana for the last few months of his life. It helped him a lot with the pain.
